Dr. Renee Robyn Causey Announced as Leadership Trainer for 2025 Leadership Conway Program
The Conway Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce Dr. Renee Robyn Causey will serve as the Leadership Trainer for the 2025 Leadership Conway program. This esteemed program, kicking off in January 2025, has been a cornerstone of leadership development in the Conway community for nearly half
a century.
Dr. Causey brings an exceptional track record of leadership, education, and advocacy to
the role. With over 30 years of experience spanning academia, government, non-profits,
and community service, Dr. Causey’s career has been defined by her unwavering
commitment to empowering individuals and driving positive change.
As a proud native of Horry County, she has dedicated her life to helping communities
solve problems and create lasting, positive change. During her tenure as Assistant
Commissioner of Vulnerable and Special Needs Youth under former New York City
Mayor Michael Bloomberg, she made history by establishing the nation’s first
recognized human trafficking program. In this role, she also managed the world’s largest
runaway and homeless youth services program, demonstrating her unwavering
commitment to supporting marginalized populations.
Currently, as Chief Operating Officer of ACCESS FAVOR, Dr. Causey leads innovative
initiatives to combat substance use disorders, promote recovery, and create lasting
change in the communities she serves. In addition to her role at ACCESS FAVOR, she
also operates a private practice, Your Advocate, and a non-profit foundation, Causey
Crusades, where she continues to champion recovery and support transformational
growth for individuals and organizations.
Dr. Causey is no stranger to inspiring future leaders, as evidenced by her role as a
professor at Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC), where she was honored as
Professor of the Year in 2017-2018. Her educational philosophy emphasizes empathy,
advocacy, and equipping students with the tools they need to make a meaningful impact
in their careers and communities.
The Leadership Conway program is a ten-month journey designed to provide existing
and emerging leaders with opportunities to deepen their civic knowledge, expand their
networks, and refine their leadership skills. Limited to 25 participants annually, the
program involves one full day of learning and networking each month.
Dr. Causey expressed her enthusiasm for the program, stating, "I am eager to

Conway program. Together, we can empower participants to lead with confidence,
integrity, and innovation, thereby contributing to the continued success and prosperity of
our community's the Leadership Trainer, Dr. Causey will guide participants through dynamic learning
experiences, inspiring them to leverage their talents for the betterment of Conway and
beyond.

highly qualified individuals for the Leadership Trainer position for the 2025 Leadership
Conway program.
