Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre and Coastal Dance Centre’s “The Nutcracker”
Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre, the area’s only youth ballet company, and its training school, the Coastal Dance Centre, are delighted to present its 19th annual production of “The Nutcracker” - with performances slated on November 29, 30, December 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15, at the Main Street Theatre, in historic downtown Conway.
This popular holiday ballet features a wonderful cast of talented dancers from Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre and Coastal Dance Centre, joined by professional guest artists, with spectacular sets and costumes, performed to Peter Tchaikovsky’s iconic score.
Embark on a journey full of color and wonder as Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre and Coastal Dance Centre bring “The Nutcracker” to life. Join Clara as she bravely defends the Nutcracker Prince from the Mouse King. Discover a dazzling ice realm, with a blizzard of dancing snowflakes and its Snow Queen. Step out of the ordinary and follow Clara as she travels to the Land of the Sweets where the Sugar Plum Fairy has arranged a grand celebration in her honor.

About Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre and Coastal Dance Centre
Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization that was founded by Liza Mata in 2006 as the performing company of Coastal Dance Centre. The mission of the organization is to promote arts appreciation and cultural enhancement in the community, providing access to high caliber ballet training and performance opportunities through professionally staged productions and educational initiatives.
Coastal Dance Centre was established in 2005 and is based at The Market Common, Myrtle Beach. Now on its 19th year, the school provides a program of quality instruction and performance opportunities for the youth as well as to adults. The school was recently recognized as one among the top five percent of more than 900 ballet academies in the United States and according to the recognition cited, Coastal Dance Centre is ranked number one in the state of South Carolina when it comes to providing training for the career success of its students.
