Horry County Solid Waste Authority Awards $9,000 In Scholarships
The Horry County Solid Waste Authority (SWA) has awarded nine Environmental Scholarships to eligible high school seniors interested in protecting the environment. Each recipient receives a $1,000 scholarship towards college expenses. Every year SWA awards one eligible graduating high school senior from each high school in Horry County, a one-time $1,000 scholarship. North Myrtle Beach Middle School Student Wins Recycled Art Contest North Myrtle Beach Middle School students know how to turn trash into treasure. The school submitted an entry to the Horry County Solid Waste Authority’s annual POP (Protect Our Planet) Art Recycling Contest.
