DESCRIPTION:Visit the City of Conway website\, here. \n\n\n\nMeetings of Council \n\nRegular meetings will be held on the first and third Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m.\, in the City Council Chambers. All regular and special meetings of the Council shall be open to the public.\n\n\n\nQuorum and Rules of Order \n\nA majority of the council members serving shall constitute a quorum for the conduct of business at any meeting. The mayor or mayor pro tempore shall preside\, except that in absence of both\, the members present shall elect a presiding member.\n\n\n\nVoting Requirements \n\nAll actions of the council shall be by majority vote of members present at a public meeting. Every member of the council present shall vote on every question except when required to refrain from voting by state law. The vote on every question shall be recorded in the council minutes. No member of council may leave the council chamber while in public session without permission of the presiding officer. The minutes of all public meetings of the council shall be a matter of permanent public record. Minutes shall not be considered the official record of a meeting until approved by the council.\n\n\n\nAppearances of Citizens \n\nAny citizen of the municipality shall be entitled to an appearance before the council at any regular meeting concerning any municipal matter\, with the exception of personnel matters. Persons desiring to speak must notify the clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting and must state the purpose of their appearance.\n\n\n\nAgenda \n\nMatters to be considered by the council at a regular meeting shall be placed on a written agenda prepared by the administrator and publicly posted by the clerk by noon on the day preceding the meeting.
