DESCRIPTION:The Conway Chamber of Commerce's Educational Affairs Committee is proud to announce the return of the 57th Annual Salute to Education - honoring outstanding graduating seniors and their inspirational teachers in the Conway area. This year's event\, scheduled for Wednesday\, March 12\, 2025 at 12 p.m.\, marks a significant transition as the committee adapts to meet the evolving needs of students and educators.\n \n\nRecognizing the invaluable contributions of educators and the remarkable growth of the Horry School District\, the committee has implemented changes to enhance the scholarship program's accessibility and effectiveness. The most notable change is the transition to an online application platform\, streamlining the process for students and educators alike.\n \n\nTo be eligible for consideration\, students must meet the following criteria:\n\n Attend a Conway area-based school or reside in Conway\, SC\n\n Maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher\n \n\nEligible students are required to complete an online application\, which can be accessed here. Along with the application\, students must submit two essays\, a photograph\, an unofficial high school transcript\, and a letter of recommendation from a school guidance counselor or principal.
