DESCRIPTION:After 52 consecutive years and over 655 awards to top academic students and teachers in Horry County\, the Salute to Education program continues to meet a great need in our area schools\, thereby increasing enthusiasm\, motivation and performance standards.\n\nThe Salute to Education is only possible each year because of the dependable support of business and industry leaders\, such as you.  This has truly been a wonderful example of business and education working together.\n\nTeachers\, students and parents are sincerely appreciative of your involvement\, and we would like to ask you to continue to be a part of this important event.\n\nThe awards luncheon is scheduled for May 27\, 2020 and will honor Outstanding Seniors from each high school in Horry County.  The student honorees are chosen by their Guidance Counselor based on a uniform grid system.  A special scholarship will be awarded to a student selected through an interview process involving area business leaders.  The teacher honorees are chosen by each student for having served as an inspiration to excel in the life of that student.
